More Stitches

Not much knitting time on Tuesday. Went out to lunch with work buddies and dinner with my husband. Only had about an hour and half to knit. There are 15 more rows of off white and blue colorwork before the stretch of white toward the shoulder on St. Moritz. Probably will get to work on the sleeves this weekend.

I NEED to buy sock yarn.

Sorry this post is short. I haven't had many knitting thoughts for a couple of days. Too many other things are crowding my mind. Computers for one, I mean three.

Have a good day.

Good Knitting Day

I accomplished lots of knitting and have gone beyond the half-way mark of two-color knitting on my St. Moritz. Dale of Norway patterns are so nice and I love working with Heilo yarn. I started with the body on this sweater, so I still have the sleeves to go.

I'm dreaming of my next projects. When I get the computers working, I want to spend some time on my blog. There are things I want to enhance like a WIP monitor and Dream List.

Have a good day.. is there lots of knitting time scheduled for you?

St. Moritz Update

StMoritz042504

The frogged St. Moritz has been reknit! I had knit 12.5" and now that has been completed plus several inches of the colorwork on the body. I love knitting multiple colors. The sport weight yarn knits up fast but I'm ready to start planning again for a Fair Isle sweater. I think I will order yarn for Marina.

Computer Problems Still Exist

I am having difficulty transferring data from my old computer to my new one. At least my data is not lost. AND, I really like my new desktop, it has a big flat monitor.

Hunting Widow

Almost got caught!!! I was very late coming home from Carol's Friday evening. My husband was home! It was raining too much and the fellas gave up. Turkeys were not moving and no toms were in range. Good thing I wasn't doing anything wrong and he knew where I was. The hot tub felt so good. There was a gentle rain pinging on the canopy. We had a good evening, movie, dinner and hot tub.

Thanks to those who have posted and emailed encouragement. This week has got to be better. It will be, I'm sure. I only work three days and then we're off to celebrate my husband's birthday with a four-day weekend. Hope your week is swell.

Weekend Countdown

I'm looking forward to this weekend. I'm a hunting widow until Monday evening and you know what that means: when the cat's away, the mice will play! And play equates to knitting full time! There will be a break from knitting (and working) on Friday evening, dinner and hot tubbing with my girlfriend. Saturday will be knit day!

Made some progress on St. Moritz and will begin the colorwork on Saturday. I hope to spend time working on the sock tutorial and assembling Gjende for my patient friend.

Computer Update

I'm still in limbo, but things are looking up.

Hope your weekend is wonderful and full of knitting and all kinds of springy fun things.

Can't Wait

I requested some yarn from Threadbear; Ruby River Bearfoot from Mountain Colors and two Opal Magic skeins, one yellows and the other purples. I'm addicted to sock knitting. I hope to complete the My Socks part 2 this weekend.

St. Moritz

More body progress with about 4 more inches to go before I can start the colorwork.

Have a good day.

Knitting Along

A little knitting, I've completed the ribbing and two inches of stockinette body on St. Moritz. It's a far cry from where I was before visiting the frog pond. Oh, well, that's the way it goes sometimes.

Wednesday = half way through the week. Have a good day.

Back on Track

Shy 3/8" of re-knitting the ribbing for St. Moritz body. Not much else new. Still have unresolved computer problems.

Please don't catch my blahhhhhhs! Have a good knitting day.

One Bright Spot

There was only one really bright spot this weekend. I began knitting lessons for the friend who commissioned Gjende. She is knitting wonderfully! We will do purl on the next session. Usually my students have a difficult time with casting on... she did not. Once she figured 'her way' to hold the yarn, her kntting stitches were great and she knitted them faster than others I have taught! What a wonderful student and friend. I'm looking forward to purlling.

For one tiny bad note:

I had to visit the frog pond. Boy was it scummy! I had 12" of St. Moritz body knitted. Last night, I started over with the cast on. My tension was too tight! We'll see if it works this time.

I will report none of the other 'down' items for the weekend. This week has to get better! Hope yours begins well.

I've Joined a Group

I am now an Enabler. My friend and I sent shopping after work, she bought yarn for two projects and some needles for socks. We are trying to find some Cherry Tree Hill super sport. Know of a source?

Very little knitting and no computer work at home. The weekend is coming and I get to be an enabler again. Another friend needs advice and help spending her money. Great fun.

I will try to have pictures on my next post.

Have a good weekend, all.

On the Knitting Front

I am missing my self-imposed deadline on Gjende. I have not even begun the assembly and neck band. Instead, I have been working on my computer and knitting the plain stockinette body of St. Moritz. Would you believe I have 9 inches completed? Two inches more before I begin colorwork.

SIP

Second 'My Sock' tutorial is waiting for a good day and uninterrupted time. I hope to have it done soon.

Seems like I'm just posting an apology for all my projects, without any good news or pictures. Hope you have a good Thursday -- gateway to the weekend. Are your taxes in??
