Weekend
This is what I did this weekend.

There is more of this in my future. I hope I get to knit more while relaxing.

This is what I did this weekend.

There is more of this in my future. I hope I get to knit more while relaxing.
It seems like I have NO time to knit. I knit a little at dinner (of course, KIP) and a few minutes later in the evening.
My work project seems to consume all my leisure energy. I will be so glad when I finally get all the little pieces of the project completed and put into production. There is an unattainable, unrealistic deadline; however, I will not be completed coding or testing by that time. Hmmmm.. consequences?? I hope they are not too bad.
So, wanna see a picture of Leslie's Tank?

Thursday's here, just one more workday until the weekend.
Not much time for knitting on Monday at all... ate work lunch out with the boys. Had a long meeting after work. Rode home in a thunderstorm. Watched the last part of Monday Night Football. Go Chiefs!
All in all, it was a pretty good day. Work is still very stressful. Oh, well.
Maybe I will be able to knit Tuesday evening. Hope you get some knitting time, too.

I completed knitting the Spirit of the Southwest shawl on Friday afternoon after work. This picture shows the mountains, corn and river/stream. I wish I had used this yarn on some of the other shawls I have knit. It is Jagger Spun Zephyr wool and silk.
I'm back to knitting on the pink tank for Leslie. I seem to be knitting very slowly on this one.
Did you have a good weekend?
Six Brown Sheep, one bag full!
Marvin chose these yarns for his sweater. The darker green and light tan are the primary colors with the light green and blue/purple as accents. This will be a striking sweater, 3002 Arne Brimi.
We got a very good deal on this discontinued 'brown' Heilo. There's enough to knit an XL two color Dale, probably the Moose sweater (11) in Dale 79.
This one is for me, Thunder Bay, one of my favorite Dale patterns. There is no current Heilo in these colors.
Need some Bulldog Blue to go with these colors for Heilo #8 from Dale 104.
Have a good weekend.
WOW! I love my new camera. I haven't even begun to figure out all the bells and whistles! The colors are fantastic. Now I can share with you:
Spirit of the Southwest Shawl
See the rabbit, Nanette? The Squash Blossoms are on the edge, Lisa. Only have a few to do and it's completed.
See the Socks? They are there, just waiting to be knitted.
Mountain Colors to keep my husband's feet warm in his fishing waders.
His and Hers matching Blue Face Leicester and Toasty Toes socks.

Sport Sox
Tune in later for more yarn previews. Have a good day today.
Bought a new camera! Battery is charging and I'm reading the instructions. Pictures tomorrow!
Very little knitting the last few days, completed one more squash blossom.
We are in for ONE day of HOT weather. It is supposed to be in the 90s and muggy, then cool down 10 degrees the next day and then another 10 degrees. We've had a nice summer, so far. Can't wait for fall and winter, though. Those are my favorite seasons.
Midweek, again. Have a good day.
I don't feel like posting, I have no pictures to share. My camera is Kaput! Cannot figure if it had been dropped (at camp) or something else has happened to cause terrible picture colors. The pictures look like crayon-drawn objects. I tried using a new flash-card, thinking the regular one had been over used. No change! I'm stumped and don't have any free time to investigate. Any clues?
The Spirit of Southwest Shawl
Good news, I have completed the body of the shawl and half of the squash blossoms on the lower edge. It is so pretty and I want to share a picture with you.. no luck with the bad camera.
Tuesday, already! Have a good day.
The best thing is the weather! This entire week is supposed to be in the 70's for highs and 50's for lows. Is this Kansas City in mid-August??? I can't belive it.
It's still hard to get into the work groove. A little progress on the Squash Blossoms and dinner out with my hubby.
Really, life is not so ho-hum... looked at a new camera last night. Just thinking about a new one. We'll see.
Wednesday, half way through the work week.
Football and knitting... love it. The long dry spell is over and football is back. I knit four more squash blossoms on the Spirit of the Southwest shawl.
I have not done a complete new-purchase inventory for you. However, I am happy to report I have enough yarn to keep me in business for a while, a long while. I got two Dale of Norway leaflets and No.66 book. It was exciting to find these patterns. Some of the older Dale patterns are the best.
Have a good Tuesday. It's hard to get back in the work-day groove.
