Another FO

I told you I was in the finishing mode. . .

St_moritz_bright_sun

I will try to get a better picture to post. I began St. Moritz in April this year. I stalled after knitting and have just finished the assembly this weekend. Are the sleeves too long?

Have you seen the Bow-Knot Scarf by Katherine Burgess? I had a small skein of Colorado Cormo Wool gifted to me. What do I knit with 125 yards? I wanted to keep this wonderfully soft wool for myself, not give it away or combine with another yarn to make a hat .. I found this pattern and knit it during a college football game on TV Saturday.

I wound the Lorna's Laces and started Laura Gallagher's Fluted Banister socks. I usually knit toe-up socks and sometimes two at a time. Converted the pattern and began the toes. I could not find the matching spots in the colors. I'm knitting each sock in a different color sequence.

A short workweek ahead for me. Have a good Monday.

Is This Happy or What?

Delivered the sweater, finally! My reward???? Such a happy face. I love to make items for people who appreciate the gift. I'm speechless...

Thank you for your kind comments about Thunder Bay. It was a joy to knit.

I'm in the finishing mode, stay tuned. Have a good weekend.

Want to Go Skiing?

I'm ready! But, I'd rather knit by the fire than ski. Of course, I have to admit, I've never been skiing. I love to ride the lifts and Alpine Slides in Colorado or Tram at Sandia Crest. My sweater is done and very comfortable. Had to wait for my husband to get home from hunting to have a photo shoot.

Brown Sheep Nature Spun sport yarn is nice to knit. This sweater is not overly warm, I may be able to wear it indoors. We keep our home cool, work is entirely too HOT!

Next Project

Don't know what to start. My stash is growing, bought some Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Black Watch. I've never knit with this yarn. It feels very soft and I expect socks to be quite comfortable.

I need to finish several WIPs; a second pair of socks from Toasty Toes, St. Moritz assembly, shawl knit with Silky Wool. I wouldn't want to post the entire list, it's embarrassing...

Almost...

What a week!  Work project is going slow, knitting is fast!  I have completed more rows on the body of Thunder Bay since this picture was taken Sunday mid-afternoon.  Only 6 rows remain and assembly!  I love this sweater.

Have a good Monday.

Thunder Bay

Lots of progress since last post. I cast on to knit the body, ribbing, border and plain stockinette for 13.75" then began this pattern.
