Short Note

I have tried for two days to get a picture of the last pair of completed socks....  My schedule had not permitted a picture during daylight.  They are made from Regia Crazy Colors.  At first I did not like the sequencing of colors, I pulled out lots of yarn trying to find a similar area to begin both socks.  No luck!  So, I just cast on the toes and started.  We like them... maybe a picture in a week or so.

I leave tomorrow after lunch to drive to my mom's, more than 600 miles away.  She's been in the hospital and will be coming home by the end of the week, I hope.  I'd like to assist with her care and get her a little stronger.  Mom lives 'next door' to my sister and my brother is 'down the road'...  it will be nice to spend some time with them and not worry about getting right back to the JOB.  I'm liking retirement.

I'm packing several knitting projects and my laptop, too.  Maybe I can rework the Dale of Norway sweater pattern to fit the yarn my husband and I bought last summer.  I need to chart the design on my computer.  Hopefully, I have fixed the connection for dial-up so I can still be in touch.  I will miss my cable connection and the speed it provides.
