No recent blocking, and no sun = no pictures.
I have completed more knitting projects. The Blue Dress Socks can be removed from the UFO list. Solid Regia colors create nice socks. These are plain stockinette.
While on my long vacation last fall, I bought Petticoat by Opal. I chose to use Lacy Scallops Socks by sockbug. Margene made these socks with Petticoat and I love the look they created. I love my socks. This sock pattern was well written and easy to do. I usually knit toe-up socks, two at a time on two circs. So, I knit cuff-down 2 on 2. Works wonderfully.
Also, started and finished Mountain Colors Bearfoot Marias Falls socks for my husband. This yarn is one of my favorite yarns to knit.
Another project completed: Top Down Hats by I'm Knitting As Fast As I Can; see Nov 21- 25, 2005 posts for pattern. I didn't like the pointy hat (recipient wouldn't have liked it) so I knit it from the bottom up. I did a provisional cast on like I do for my toe-up socks and knit with two circulars. I decreased at a more rapid rate on the crown of the hat. Now, I noticed another comment on hat shape on her most recent posting. I used an applied i-cord, picking up live stitches to finish the bottom of the hat. I like how it looks.
New UFO: another pair of socks. In 2004 at Woodland Woolworks I bought some Space Dyed Blue Face Leicester yarn. It's yummy! I am currently increasing for the gussets, probably have them completed tomorrow or Tuesday.
Hopefully, we will have some brighter light tomorrow so I can take some pictures.
