Pinion Grazing Deer

I've been visiting my mom and will be here another week.  Knitting and dial-up browsing are my daily routine.  I will be glad to get back to my cable connection.

Thursday we had a visit from the little herd of deer that comes close to mom's house.

Her yard is full of pinion trees and the deer come on a daily basis to graze.  Drives the dog nuts!  She want to go bark at them and run them off.  They just watch her and go about their business.

I have been knitting on a shawl, sweater, and sleeves for my brother to wear with his poncho.  My sock yarn is calling. . .

Major Sock Stash

I can't knit just one, I cannot knit one sock, not even one pair.  I'm addicted to socks and sock yarn.  I have many projects in the wings (in my mind) and I still cast on for socks.

Thirteen new sock yarns have been added to the stash.

These are the men sock yarns, all for my husband.  Blue Mountain Colors for knee socks inside his fishing waders, the rest are regular socks.

The orange and green sock yarns are for gift socks, the others are for me.  I plan striped socks with the onsie blue and black Wildfoote yarn, picked up on the deep sale shelf.

Gift Socks

I chose stash Bearfoot sock yarn in Lodgegrass colorway for my gift socks.  I will take them to my friend in March.  Can't wait to visit.

Last week was very busy, likewise with this week.  The following week, I will leave to visit my mom, sister and brother-in-law, and brother.
