Pile of Socks

I finally spent a few minutes taking pictures of the most current socks.

These socks are for my husband.  I'm glad he likes hand knitted socks of any color.  The top left two socks are Opal, they match my pair.  Third from the left are Regia.  The pair on the right are from LoneSome Stone 50/50 handpainted alpaca and wool in #8 Mountain Sunset using US4 Addis.  The pair in the forefront are Mississippi athletic socks.

Red family socks for me.  Left socks are cotton/wool Clown(?), I think.  Second from left are LoneSome Stone 50/50 in #3 English Garden.  Third pair are Regia Tweed.  I cannot remember the brand of yarn for the rightmost pair.

Back to my knitting . . .

What Have I Been Doing?

Well, knitting of course!

I'm so far behind in my posting.  Just posting blahs this summer.

While in Colorado this summer, we witnessed an early-morning rainbow.  We park our RV in my mom's yard.  Here is the view and rain later in the day.

We enjoyed our family visit and a few day trips.  Beautiful roadside flower/weed.

Ice in July

On a return trip from the grocery we encountered a freak ice storm.  I leaned out the car window to snap a few pictures of the evidence.  July 26!

Knitting

Yes, there's been some.  I have a pile of socks, nine pair.  Two more pair are in the works.  I completed the Mimbres Vest and have several inches of Giant Latvian Mitten Cardigan on the needles.

I knit this scarf for a friend using charts and instructions from The Gossamer Webs Design Collection.

Pile of socks pictures later.
