OK - OK

Thanks for the prodding, Cathy!  I have been constantly knitting; not posting and few pictures have been taken.

Shetland Shawl from Gathering of Lace.  I knit this for a cute little friend who is expecting her first child in February.  Lace weight wool from Yarn Barn of Kansas.

Baby Surprise Jacket from Opinionated Knitter using Cascade in two colors.  My husband picked the shell buttons.  We had the baby shower at Knit Night annual Christmas Potluck.  It was a great cover to surprise the new mom-to-be.

These socks are for a dear friend.  I found the yarn a LYS and fell in love with it.  I wanted to give the yarn to her for Christmas, decided to knit the socks instead.  The yarn color is called Maryland from J.Knits.

No sun for good pictures today.  The flash kept going off, the color is a little darker than in the picture.  These knee-high socks are for our granddaughter. They were knit with Cherry Tree Hill Supersock

These socks were knit on commission.  I have been busy knitting and have not been able to share all the pictures and info.

There are a few of these.  I am making something lacy for my mom.  More socks are in the very near future and still working on a two-color cardigan for myself and a full-size lace shawl.

Six Weird Things About Me

Thanks to Cathy's comments and emails, I have been requested to share with you:

“THE RULES:Each player of this game starts with the ‘6 weird things about you.’ People who get tagged need to write a blog post of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says ‘you are tagged’ in their comments and tell them to read your blog.”

  1. I am not weird!  I think I am "somewhat" obsessed with knitting.  At least I am in good company.
  2. Like Cathy, I can spend all day and all night in my sleepwear.  I am usually knitting.
  3. The more challenging the project, the better I like it.  The same holds true for quilting, counted cross stitch, hardanger embroidery or sewing -- none of which I do at the present time.
  4. I've been knitting for 53 years and I still love to knit.  My knitting has greatly improved in the last seven years.
  5. I used to give ALL my knitting away!  I couldn't wear knitted items, I got way too warm.  Found out that wool and natural fibers are much better for me.
  6. I love yarn and textures of yarn, however, I do not want to give in to the urge to spin.  I'd probably never get any knitting accomplished.

No tags.  (Weird #7 -- I hate memes!)
