About Time to Share

January has been a busy month.

Pink_brown_socks

I did not attempt to match these socks for me.  I liked knitting them with Trekking XXL #80.

Blue_brown_stripe_socks

Birthday socks for my son, knit with Austermann Step #19.

The socks on top were knitted for a friend from Brown Sheep Handpaint Wildefoote color SY800 Sonatina.  The jury is still out on the other socks knit with Regia Bamboo.  After I wear them a while, I'll give you an opinion.  They were a little "splitty" and slippery to knit.

Another pair of Austermann Step, this time color 17, for my husband.

Happy New Year 2007!

Beginning the new year with plenty of sunshine, football on TV and knitting.  I have a few pictures to share that were missed or not taken before the previous post.

Cth_knee_high_socks

These are the CTH Socks for our granddaughter.  Previous picture here.  She put them on and then hit the kitchen floor, running.  There is no smooth floors at her house, so skating on grandma's kitchen floor was fun in her new socks.

Maxi_ringel

As requested, she wanted another pair of socks in her favorite colors.  Found some Blauband Maxi Ringel to fit that bill.  Finished these on New Years Eve.

Fish_socks

These fishing socks were completed between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I had given them to my husband before I took a picture, naturally.  Had to fish them out of the drawer and get a picture to share.  Knitted using two hanks of Mountain Colors 4/8's wool in Mystic Lake.  It is reported these socks keep the fisherman's feet and legs warm inside his waders.

Socks

I'm stuck on socks again.  One LYS had a sale the day after Christmas.  I met Christine there.  We both bought sock yarn.  My sack had FIVE hanks of Mountain Colors Bearfoot, one skein Sockotta cotton/wool and the above Maxi Ringel.  It is fun to meet up with fellow bloggers; we plan to get together to knit and visit.

Holidays

Our holidays have been pleasant and fun.  They were full of family, football and knitting.  Hope you have sweet memories of your holidays.
