Mom's Shrug
Tonight at our knitting gathering, I asked a friend of similar stature to mom to model her shrug before I send it to Colorado. Looks like the correct size.
I loved knitting this shrug for mom. The alpaca lace yarn is really soft and surprisingly warm for such a light wrap. My friend was impressed with the warmth. In the previous post I have the noted the pattern. It is on page 12 of Gathering of Lace by Meg Swansen.
Cold Temps
Our weather has been cold. Next week, the forecast is for mid 50's. Everything will be muddy and wet and the streets will be really sloppy. What joy! I love the cold weather and being able to wear my heavy sweaters. However, the warmer temps will be a nice change.

The shrug is gorgeous! Did you use a pattern?
It's supposed to be warmer here too. Hopefully it will melt the sheet of ice we call the yard!

That is truly beautiful and I know your mom will love it. I too would like to know about the pattern.

The shrug is lovely! Your mother will be so pleased. Our weather has been very warm this week and the trees are starting to bud. I usually love winter, but I think I'm ready for spring this year.

Your Mom's shrug is lovely. I've never seen it knitted up before. Makes me want to make one for my mom!
