Spring Knitting

Dogwood

I was invited to share lunch and a garden visit with a dear friend.  We had a wonderful afternoon, there was good food and a great dessert.  I rained in the garden and I enjoyed taking pictures.  This is my favorite.

I enjoyed knitting these socks with Austermann Step, color 10.  I did not get them to match, OH WELL, I just kept knitting.  This is great yarn.

I love the colors, too.

Mom, I counted the socks in my drawer -- 38.  I haven't counted Marvin's or tallied the gifted socks.

Love the colors in the flowers and socks - how coordinated :)

Beautiful flowers, and fun stripe-y socks. Who cares if they don't match? It just makes them unique.

I don't know which I think is prettier, the springy socks or the springy flowers! Beautiful. 38? wow. And that's not counting gift socks. wow. I've just hit 10 pair. total.

Another gorgeous pair of socks lady! Your knitting is so perfect and exciting to look at. Enjoy spring, we are still getting snow, but it might get to 60 this weekend. Gardens don't go in until after Memorial Day up here...:) I just started a baby surprise jacket, but most of my free time is still working on quilting. Take care and keep producing the beautiful knitting.

You are going to need a sock trunk, not a sock drawer, if you keep this up! Have a great day!

Your socks remind me of peppermint ice-cream that we used to get when I was a kid. It had little red specks all through it and we only ate it in the summer. What fun your socks are!

The socks and the flowers - looks wonderful and perfect together :)

Cheryl, seriously.... step away from the sock needles!

How to break the spell of sock knitting? One day at a time... just like every other addiction! Grab a sweater book from your extensive library, take a stroll through your stash.... fantisize about a new Fair Isle.... Either that, or I can send you my foot measurement and some wool and you can start knitting socks for me! I have such envy of your vault of socks!

Whatever you do, knit on. It's great to see such a prolific knitter!
