Green Pocket

Almost FOUR YEARS in the making... I completed knitting the pieces of this sweater right before my first post to this blog in July 2003.  I had real fears it would not fit my husband.  I blocked the pieces last fall, hoping to assemble and present the sweater by Christmas.  Didn't happen.  Finally for a birthday present, on time April 30th, but way way late.

This pocket was a wonderful experience.  I used kitchener bind off to finish the pocket ribbing.  I love this bind off.  Sweater details in 2007 Photo Album.

Socks

Seems I cannot have a post without socks.  Both of these are knit with Regia, blue ones for my husband, multi-color ones are for me.

These are Trekking XXL, white ones for me and pink ones for a special little girl.  I love the white yarn, it is soft.

Well, off here to work on some more -- wait for it --

-- socks!  How'd you guess?

Wow. M looks fabulous in his sweater. What a lovely color and pattern! Worth the wait, I'd say.

And as usual, your socks are fabulous.

Wow!!! It looks great! Will he have to wait this long for the next one? ;)

OH the pictures turned out great! What a handsome hubby you have! I ended up grabbing an extra skein of the teal & turquoise sock yarn this afternoon from Andrea's stuff at Knit-Wit. Let me know if you'd like it. If you already ended up with one, no worries. I'll send details by email of my exciting afternoon!

Thanks for lunch, I had a great time and a very full tummy! Somehow my socks weren't so blah anymore. I'm half-way through the gusset now.

Super wow! The sweater looks so good on him. Your socks are beautiful too. Great knitting!

What a gorgeous sweater! The color is absolutely perfect for him. Great job!

It came out beautiful!

Looks fabulous! The colour is gorgeous and it fits just right. Well worth the wait but hopefully, he won't have to wait as long for the next one ;-)

What a beautiful sweater, and very well-suited to your hubby. Naturally, your socks are lovely too. I keep wanting to try your toe-up pattern, but it's so easy just to start a top-down pair on 4 dps from memory - I guess it's a comfort zone thing. One day I will try them though!

Absolutely gorgeous! Hubby is a nice looking dude too! I really love everything about the sweater.

The sweater is fabulous and the model's not too bad either. Poor guy, having to wait so long! Do you have any other sweaters in progress?

Beautiful sweater!

very handsome sweater!

Handsome sweater, handsome guy! I love the color.

What a great sweater! I love the pattern and the color. My husband would really like something like that, I think :)

Wow Chery! What a drop-dead gorgeous sweater!!! Beautiful knitting and color and what a great looking guy...hehehe..don't tell him, you may never be able to live it down :). And I love all the socks, but especially the white ones..yum....camping is coming up, so the wheel is coming back out and the socks will go on the needles. I have been doing some embroidery and quilting, but your pictures make the knitting bug bite hard.

Fabulous sweater! What a grand birthday present!
